…DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST THIS MORNING… …FREEZING FOG LIKELY TO RESULT IN PATCHY ICY CONDITIONS THIS MORNING…
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM CST this morning.
VISIBILITY…areas less than 1/4 mile.
IMPACTS…the combination of temps well below freezing and very moist conditions will likely result in icy patches on untreated roads and walkways, in addition to the reduced visibilities due to locally dense fog.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving…slow down… use your headlights…and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
