THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are again possible
this afternoon along a stationary front. I-80 southward is
favored, but cannot rule out a storm elsewhere. Gusty winds and
brief heavy rainfall are the main hazards given the steep low
level lapse rates along with the slow storm motions and weak
shear, favoring outflow development today. Most of the storms will
dissipate during the early evening hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk - highest North Central
Illinois.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk - NW Indiana in the morning.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Severe storms are possible late Thursday into Thursday night. At
this time the better chances remain north of our area, but a
strong to severe storm threat does exist, particularly into north
central IL.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving southeast at 20 mph.
