THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are expected ahead of a cold front through
the afternoon. The Interstate 80 corridor southward is favored, though an
isolated storm is possible most areas briefly through late morning. Severe
storms are not anticipated, but a few of the storms across northwest Indiana
later today could have gusty winds to 50 mph.

Any beachgoers should also be aware that northeast winds will increase waves
today. This pattern would suggest a moderate swim risk concern.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not likely through tonight, though reports of gusty
winds would be appreciated.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving east-southeast at 25 mph.
