THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to golf ball size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms will move across the area through mid to late

remain low. However, some isolated wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph and
some small hail cant be ruled out with this area of thunderstorms
early this morning.

along a surface frontal boundary, which should reside near the WI
state line early this afternoon before sagging southward late this
afternoon into this evening. These storms will be capable of
producing very large hail to the size of golf balls and gusty
winds to 60 mph. The storms will begin to weaken during the
evening, likely ending the severe threat.
Very heavy rain can also be expected with these storms, both this
morning and again this afternoon and evening. This may result in
some localized flooding concerns.
