SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO RAPIDLY INCREASE ACROSS NORTHERN
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA AFTER DAYBREAK ON MEMORIAL DAY.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ARE FORECAST WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO
45 MPH. THERE IS SOME POTENTIAL FOR 50 MPH OR EVEN HIGHER
GUSTS BETWEEN 9 AM AND 2 PM. THE WINDS WILL GRADUALLY EASE DURING
THE MID TO LATE AFTERNOON.
THOSE WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED ON MEMORIAL DAY SHOULD
PLAN FOR THESE STRONG WINDS.
