THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME MAY PRODUCE:
SMALL HAIL.
HEAVY RAIN.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 88 THIS MORNING. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME MORE
NUMEROUS ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
THE STORMS WILL SPREAD NORTH LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND LIKELY
INCREASE IN COVERAGE TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

ADDITIONAL SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 88 THIS MORNING AS A COUPLE OF WEATHER DISTURBANCES
SHIFT EAST. A COLD FRONT SINKS SOUTH AND STALLS OVER CENTRAL
ILLINOIS THIS AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP
ALONG THE FRONT THIS AFTERNOON. A DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS
THE AREA LATER THIS EVENING INTO OVERNIGHT LEADING TO ADDITIONAL
THUNDERSTORMS. NOT ANTICIPATING ANY SEVERE WEATHER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

PERIODIC CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS EXIST TUESDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...THEN AGAIN THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
