WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE:
WINDS GUSTING IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHWESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS THIS AFTERNOON AND MOVE ACROSS
NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA THROUGH EARLY
THIS EVENING.
DISCUSSION:
SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH
THIS EVENING. ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS
AND LARGE HAIL. THERE IS A SMALL BUT NON-ZERO CHANCE FOR AN
ISOLATED TORNADO.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
