THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE:
WINDS GUSTING IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ISOLATED NON-SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING
ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA...HOWEVER
STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS
NORTHWESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON
AND MOVE ACROSS NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA
MID TO LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

DISCUSSION:

SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. THERE IS A SMALL BUT NON-ZERO
CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY...MAINLY EAST OF
THE I-57 CORRIDOR.
