THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME MAY PRODUCE:
HEAVY RAIN.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF PENNIES.
AND WIND GUSTS OVER 40 MPH.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DIMINISH OVER PARTS OF NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING.
ADDITIONAL SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION
AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT FROM THE NORTHWEST AFTER MIDNIGHT...THOUGH
A FEW ISOLATED STORMS MAY FORM AHEAD OF THESE LATER STORMS.
DISCUSSION:
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND PARTS OF
NORTHWEST INDIANA WILL DRIFT SLOWLY EAST AND DISSIPATE THROUGH
THE LATE EVENING HOURS IN ASSOCIATION WITH A SMALL UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE. ADDITIONAL SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED OVERNIGHT IN ADVANCE OF A COLD FRONT. HEAVY RAIN AND
LIGHTING WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
PERIODIC CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS EXIST MONDAY THROUGH
TUESDAY...THEN AGAIN FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
