This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk for Porter County through early evening.

DISCUSSION...

Heavy lake enhanced snow is expected across parts of Porter County
Indiana into the early evening. Gusty winds will help lead to
sharply reduced visibilities under the heaviest snow showers, and
snowfall rates of up to 1-2 inches per hour will result in snow
covered roads that will lead to hazardous travel conditions,
including during the afternoon commute.

For the rest of the area, snow showers will continue to produce
reduced visibilities at times through early evening. While main
roads are expected to remain wet, patchy slick spots and quick
coatings are possible on elevated and grassy surfaces. Snow
showers will diminish in coverage through the remainder of the
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Saturday Night into Sunday Morning...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
