This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk for Porter County; Limited Snow Risk elsewhere.

DISCUSSION...

Snow showers will continue to produce reduced visibilities at times
through the remainder of this afternoon. While main roads are
expected to remain wet, patchy slick spots and quick coatings are
possible on elevated and grassy surfaces. Snow showers will diminish
in coverage through the evening.

Heavy lake enhanced snow is expected across parts of northwest
Indiana this afternoon and into the early evening. Gusty winds will
help lead to sharply reduced visibilities under the heaviest snow
showers, and snowfall rates of up to 1-2 inches per hour will result
in snow covered roads that will lead to hazardous travel conditions,
including during the afternoon commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday and Friday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Isolated to widely scattered gusty snow showers are possible on
Thursday and may lead to spotty accumulations.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
