THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAT ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Snow Risk early this morning area wide, Significant
snow risk near the lakefront tonight.

DISCUSSION:

Light snow and flurries are expected this afternoon. However, Lake
effect snow is expected to develop across northeast Illinois
tonight and across northwest Indiana later Tuesday to early
Wednesday. The lake effect snow tonight into Tuesday will likely
be heavy at times near the lake in Northeastern Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Lake effect snow across northeast Illinois will shift into
northwest Indiana later Tuesday. Significant accumulations
are possible in some locations.
