THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated Tornado Risk south of the Kankakee River.
Elevated Hail Risk...up to nickel size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Limited Flooding Risk.

Many area rivers have experienced significant rises due to
widespread rainfall of 1.5 to 2.5 inches. Many rivers have
already reached flood stage and others will rise to flood stage
overnight tonight as additional rain moves into the area this
afternoon and evening.

DISCUSSION:

A second wave of thunderstorms will move through portions of
east-central Illinois and northwest Indiana, generally southeast
of a line from Gary to Kankakee to Gibson City. Some of the
stronger storms will have to potential to locally strong wind
gusts to 60 mph and up to 1 inch hail. Additional heavy rainfall
is also possible, aggravating ongoing flooding issues.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Many area rivers will remain at flood stage until early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will likely be needed southeast of a line from Gary to
Kankakee to Gibson City through this evening.
