THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado Risk.
Elevated Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Flooding will continue along portions of the Kankakee River in
northwestern Indiana.
DISCUSSION:
Widely scattered thunderstorms are likely across the entire
outlook area this morning, however, severe weather is not likely.
Expect coverage of thunderstorms to increase by midday, especially
this afternoon into early this evening. Some of the thunderstorms
will likely become strong to severe in the afternoon, mainly for
areas southeast of a Pontiac to Kankakee to Valparaiso Indiana
line. Heavy rain, hail, and damaging winds are the main threats
for these areas at this time. Although severe weather is not
expected north of I-80 at this time, isolated strong storms
producing heavy rain and small hail are possible. The severe
threat will end by early this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Flooding will continue along portions of the Kankakee River in
northwestern Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters will likely be needed this afternoon for areas southeast
of a Pontiac to Kankakee to Valparaiso Indiana line.
