THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Scattered thunderstorms will likely develop late this morning
along and south of the I-80 corridor, with the threat spreading
southeast into east central Illinois and northwest Indiana by
midday and early this afternoon. The strongest storms will be
capable of producing marginal severe hail to the size of quarters,
mainly for locations southeast of a Pontiac IL to Valparaiso IN
line. The threat for severe weather is expected to end by the mid
to late afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Thursday and Friday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters may be needed today across east central Illinois and
northwest Indiana.
