THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Snow Risk early this morning area wide, Significant
snow risk possible near the lakefront tonight.

DISCUSSION:

A swath of moderate snow across the area this morning will give way
to much lighter snow or even just flurries or scattered snow
showers this afternoon. Lake effect snow is expected across
northeast Illinois tonight and across northwest Indiana later
Tuesday to early Wednesday. 2 to 4 inches of snow is possible today,
with additional possibly heavy lake effect snow tonight in northeast
Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Lake effect snow across northeast Illinois will shift into
northwest Indiana later Tuesday. Significant accumulations
are possible in some locations.
