THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE:
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE FLOODING.
ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
SCATTERED STORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH A GOOD
PART OF THE NIGHT...WITH A LOW SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.
DISCUSSION:
THE ATMOSPHERE IS NOT CONDUCIVE FOR SEVERE STORMS...THOUGH HIGH
AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE MAY LEAD TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. DUE TO
STILL AMBIENT WET CONDITIONS FROM JUNE...LOCALIZED FLOODING
COULD OCCUR.
FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE AND
ILLINOIS RIVERS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.
THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TUESDAY...MAINLY SOUTH OF
U.S. HIGHWAY 24. PERIODIC CHANCES FOR STORMS WILL EXIST WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
HIGH WAVES WILL LEAD TO DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG INDIANA
BEACHES AND AT LEAST PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS BEACHES ON TUESDAY AND
TUESDAY NIGHT.
PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE AND ILLINOIS RIVERS WILL REMAIN IN
FLOOD.
