SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ACROSS FAR
NORTHERN ILLINOIS EARLY TUESDAY EVENING ASSOCIATED WITH A STORM
SYSTEM FORECASTED TO MOVE UP THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY. SNOW WILL
INCREASE IN INTENSITY IN THE LATE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT
HOURS...THEN WILL TAPER OFF FROM THE WEST WEDNESDAY MORNING.
SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 1 TO 3 INCHES NEAR THE WISCONSIN STATE LINE
IS POSSIBLE...WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 4 INCHES. HEAVIER SNOW
IS EXPECTED TO THE SOUTH AND EAST WHERE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES
AND WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT.
IN ADDITION...GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS TUESDAY NIGHT AND
EARLY WEDNESDAY WILL LIKELY PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW
ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
TRAVEL...INCLUDING THE TUESDAY EVENING AND WEDNESDAY MORNING
COMMUTES...WILL BE IMPACTED BY THIS SNOW AS ROADS WILL LIKELY BECOME
SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY. COMMUTERS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO
SAFELY REACH THEIR DESTINATION.
