Areas of Northern Illinois Today...
Strong north-northwesterly winds gusting up to to 35 mph will
lead to patchy shallow blowing snow across interior northern
Illinois today. East to west oriented roadways may become
partially snow covered due to snow blowing back onto the roadway,
particularly in open rural areas. Be prepared for variable and
slippery road conditions if traveling today. Periods of light snow
are also expected today which could lead to minor visibility
reductions and an additional dusting on roadways.
