DISCUSSION...
Areas of dense fog will reduce visibilities under a half mile
early this morning, mainly across northeast Illinois and parts of
northwest Indiana. Conditions will improve around or shortly after
sunrise.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Friday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Strong southwesterly winds may gust 40 to 45 mph or stronger on
Friday. The combination of strong winds and dry conditions are
expected to lead to a heightened risk for grass and brush fire
spread, particularly near and south of I-80 where the driest
conditions are forecast.
