Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will drop into the single digits below zero overnight,
particularly outside of Chicago.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday evening through Saturday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Sunday night through Wednesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A period of accumulating snow is expected late Friday afternoon
through at least Friday evening, especially for areas along and
north of Interstate 80. An additional period of accumulating snow
may also redevelop across parts of the area Friday night, though
this potential remains highly uncertain at this time. Any lingering
precipitation late Friday night into early Saturday may mix with,
or change to, some light freezing rain or freezing drizzle late
Friday night into early Saturday morning, mainly for areas along
and south of Interstate 80.

Very cold temperatures are expected next week. Monday morning
is expected to be the coldest morning with wind chills of 15
below to 25 below zero.
