DISCUSSION...

Areas of freezing rain may lead to a light glaze of icing
tonight, especially south of a Pontiac, IL to Rensselaer, IN line.

Patchy light freezing drizzle may develop very late tonight into
early Saturday morning up to about the I-55 corridor and may lead
to some isolated slippery spots.

DISCUSSION...

A wintry mix of precipitation, including rain, freezing rain,
sleet, and snow, is possible on Saturday afternoon and evening,
though confidence in amounts remains low. Snow showers may then
persist into Sunday.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected much of next week, with
dangerous wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero possible during the
early morning hours of Monday and Tuesday.
