Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Elevated Snow Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered snow showers and squalls will continue this afternoon
with visibilities briefly dropping to below one half mile and
coating roadways with snow. A few lightning strikes can't be ruled
out.
A burst of snow is then expected this evening for lake adjacent
counties of Illinois with a quick accumulation of up to 1 to 3
inches of snow resulting in hazardous travel conditions. Gusty
winds up to 45 mph may accompany this band of snow along with poor
visibility.
Lake-effect snow showers will then persist across northwest
Indiana tonight with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with
locally higher amounts possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
