This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...

Areas of frost are expected to develop again this evening away
from the urban heat island of the Chicago metropolitan area.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Wednesday...
Elevated Early Morning Frost Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk at night.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk at night.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A strong Autumn storm system is expected to impact the region
from late Wednesday into the weekend. Rain and thunderstorms will
first develop across the area north of a warm front late
Wednesday afternoon, and will continue Wednesday night into
Thursday. Periods of heavy rain will likely accompany these
storms, and may result in some instances of localized flooding
into Thursday morning.
The center of the storm system is expected to shift into our
region sometime late Friday into Friday night. As it does so, a
second round of showers and thunderstorms is likely in advance of
an eastward advancing cold front Friday afternoon into the evening.
Some of these storms could again produce locally heavy rainfall,
and there is a non-zero threat that some of the storms could be
severe.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
