This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk near and south of I-80 early this morning.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk south of I-80 and near the lake.
Elevated Frost Risk tonight away from Chicago.
DISCUSSION...
Steady rain, possibly mixed with some snow near I-80, will
gradually taper from northwest to southeast this morning and
afternoon. A few thunderstorms will be possible early this morning near
and south of I-80. Northeast winds will gust to 30 to possibly 40
mph, particularly south of I-80 and along the Indiana Lake
Michigan shoreline today.
Some frost development will be possible tonight, mainly across
interior portions of north-central Illinois and northwest Indiana.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday and Tuesday Nights...
Elevated Frost Risk away from Chicago.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE MORNING:
Moving toward the east at 35 to 40 mph.
