This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk south of I-80.
Limited hail risk...up to one inch south of I-80.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk.
High Swim Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Low pressure will move across central Illinois and Indiana later
today through tonight. This low will bring strong and gusty
northeast winds in excess of 30 mph to the region later today
through Friday along with periods of rain and some threat for
thunderstorms. The main area for storms will be near and south of
I-80 this afternoon and evening. A few storms could be strong to
severe with a threat for damaging winds and small hail, south of
I-80, although confidence in severe weather remains relatively
low.

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
High Swim Risk.
Saturday...
High Swim Risk.
