This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Fog Risk near Lake Michigan Overnight.
Limited Early Evening Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A sharp cold front will produce an abrupt wind shift to the north as
it moves into northeastern IL late this afternoon. A few isolated to
scattered thunderstorms may develop near the front and persist into
early this evening. The abrupt wind shift will also produce a brief
period of gusty winds on Lake Michigan after into early evening,
with choppy conditions possible.
Areas of fog are possible tonight, especially across portions of far
northeastern IL near Lake Michigan.

Limited PM Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited early morning Fog Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A slow moving cold front will move southeast across the area
late Tuesday night and Wednesday. Scattered thunderstorms will
be possible along and ahead of the front. A few strong to
severe storms are possible Tuesday afternoon or early evening
across parts of north central Illinois, with gusty winds and
hail the main threats.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
