This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk north of I-80 late this afternoon
and evening.
DISCUSSION...
A sharp cold front will spread south down lake Michigan this
afternoon, and will produce an abrupt wind shift to the north. A
few isolated to scattered thunderstorms may develop near the front
late this afternoon into this evening. The abrupt wind shift may
also produce a brief period of gusty winds on Lake Michigan after
4 pm, with choppy conditions possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk for North Central Illinois.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Wednesday through Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A slow moving cold front will move southeast across the area
late Tuesday night and Wednesday. Scattered thunderstorms will
be possible along and ahead of the front. A few strong to
severe storms are possible Tuesday afternoon or early evening
across parts of north central Illinois, with gusty winds and
hail the main threats.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
