.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

DISCUSSION:

A deepening low pressure system will pass to our southeast and
east Sunday night through Monday, producing a prolonged period of
strong gusty north winds late Sunday night into Monday night. This
will likely lead to a period of lakeshore flooding for the
northwest Indiana shoreline of Lake Michigan, with some impacts
also likely along the Illinois shore.

Also during this time, accumulating lake effect snow is likely
for northwest Indiana from late Sunday night into early Tuesday
morning. This snow may briefly brush areas near the lake in
northeast Illinois on Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
