This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk in northwest Indiana.
Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk especially along the Indiana
Lake Michigan shoreline.

DISCUSSION...

A prolonged period of strong north winds is expected today
through tonight, with gusts to 35 mph across much of the area and
in excess of 40 mph along the Lake Michigan shore. These strong
winds will produce large waves on Lake Michigan which will lead to
lakeshore flooding and erosion along the the Indiana and Illinois
shorelines. The worst conditions are expected across northwest
Indiana.

Accumulating lake effect snow will likely develop this morning
and will persist into early Tuesday morning across northwest
Indiana. Lake effect snow bands may briefly brush the northeast
Illinois Lake Michigan shoreline today as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk along the Indiana Lake Michigan
shoreline.
