This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Monday through Tuesday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk northwest Indiana.
Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk, mainly northwest Indiana.
DISCUSSION:
A strengthening storm system will pass southeast of the area
Sunday night into Monday before slowing or stalling over the
eastern Great Lakes, resulting in a prolonged period of stronger
north winds late Sunday night into Tuesday. This will lead to a
potentially extended lakeshore flood event for the northwest
Indiana shoreline, with some impacts also likely along the
Illinois shore.
Meanwhile, accumulating lake effect snow is becoming more likely
for northwest Indiana late Sunday night into Tuesday. This snow
may briefly brush areas long the Illinois shore on Monday.
