NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
OCCASIONAL WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.
PEA SIZED HAIL.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE EARLY THIS EVENING
GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A DUBUQUE TO KANKAKEE AND
RENSSELAER INDIANA LINE. THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE WILL LIKELY
DIMINISH SHORTLY AFTER SUNSET.

DISCUSSION:

A WEAK SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO DRIFT VERY
SLOWLY SOUTH OF THE OUTLOOK AREA BY THIS EVENING. SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY CONTINUE NEAR THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY
INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS...BEFORE THE ACTIVITY DIMINISHES
AROUND SUNSET. THE STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE PEA SIZED HAIL
AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH. HOWEVER...TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS WILL
BE THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS. SOME MINOR LOW
LAND FLOODING MAY OCCUR WITH THE HEAVIEST AREAS OF RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF SEVERAL PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY
THROUGH TUESDAY.
