NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH MAY BE SEVERE WITH:
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS.
WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY MAINLY ALONG AND
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. STORMS EARLY THIS MORNING ARE EXPECTED
TO DIMINISH IN COVERAGE...WITH A RE-INCREASE EXPECTED IN THE
AFTERNOON. THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE FOR THE EARLY MORNING STORMS
TO BE SEVERE AND A SLIGHTLY HIGHER PROBABILITY FOR THE AFTERNOON
STORMS TO BE SEVERE.

DISCUSSION:

A COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY MOVE SOUTHEAST TODAY. WITH UNSTABLE AIR
PERSISTING AHEAD OF THIS FRONT...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP...MOST FAVORED IN THE AFTERNOON SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80. THE MAGNITUDE OF INSTABILITY WILL SUPPORT STORMS
STRONG ENOUGH TO POTENTIALLY BE SEVERE...WITH LARGE HAIL THE
PRIMARY THREAT AND ISOLATED STRONG WINDS A SECONDARY THREAT.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...MAINLY
