THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TODAY...MAINLY EAST OF
INTERSTATE 57. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE LIGHTNING
ALONG WITH THE THREAT OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
THE HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE PAST COUPLE DAYS IS LEADING TO RAPID RISES
ON AREA RIVERS AND WILL CAUSE SOME TO EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING.
THIS INCLUDES THE DES PLAINS RIVER AND THE NORTH BRANCH OF THE
CHICAGO RIVER WHERE MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST LATER TODAY.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY FOR PORTIONS OF THE
THE NORTH BRANCH OF THE CHICAGO RIVER...AND THROUGH THE END OF
THE WEEK FOR PORTIONS OF THE DES PLAINS RIVER.
THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
