THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
OCCASIONAL WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.
PEA SIZED HAIL.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP GENERALLY
ALONG AND SOUTH OF A DUBUQUE TO KANKAKEE AND RENSSELAER
INDIANA LINE THIS AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE WILL LIKELY
BE GREATEST DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS.

DISCUSSION:

A WEAK SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO DRIFT VERY SLOWLY
SOUTH DURING THE DAY AND WILL EVENTUALLY MOVE SOUTH OF THE
OUTLOOK AREA BY LATE THIS EVENING. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL
LIKELY DEVELOP NEAR THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY DURING THE EARLY AND
MID AFTERNOON HOURS. THE STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE PEA SIZED
HAIL AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH. HOWEVER...TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS
WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT WE THESE THUNDERSTORMS.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF SEVERAL PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY
THROUGH TUESDAY.
