Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
DISCUSSION...
A band of showers and possible thunderstorms is expected to shift
eastward across the area this afternoon and evening. Severe
weather is not expected with this activity. An additional period
of thunderstorms is possible overnight across far northern
Illinois, mainly along and north of I-88. Any thunderstorms
overnight could produce isolated instances of large hail.

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging wind are
possible along a cold front late Friday afternoon and evening,
especially for areas southeast of I-55.
