Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to half dollar size.

DISCUSSION...

A period of thunderstorms overnight will focus across far
northern Illinois, mainly for areas along and north of I-88. The
strongest thunderstorms may be capable of producing isolated
instances of large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southwest winds will gust up to 40 mph on Friday.

Severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds are
possible along a cold front late Friday afternoon and
particularly
in the evening, especially for areas along and south of I-55.
