This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to 2 inches in diameter.
Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
Limited Non-Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southwest winds will gust to around 40 mph from late this morning
through early this evening.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this evening. Some
of the storms could be severe with large hail, possibly up to 2
inches in diameter, the greatest threat. There is also the
potential for locally damaging winds and perhaps a tornado,
especially if thunderstorms become more widespread and are able
to organize into a line.
