This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 and 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Level 1 and 2 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to Half Dollar sized.
Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk through early evening.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into the
evening. Any storms that develop could become strong to severe
with damaging winds and hail being the main hazards. A tornado
can't be ruled out. Additional thunderstorms are possible late
tonight through daybreak Tuesday. Heavy rainfall would accompany
any storms that develop which could result in localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
High Swim Risk Lake Michigan Beaches.

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms may be ongoing across northeast Illinois and
northwest Indiana Tuesday morning and may persist into early
afternoon. Strong to locally damaging wind gusts and heavy rain
are possible with these storms.

Breezy northeast winds on Tuesday will generate large waves,
leading to dangerous swimming conditions at southern Lake
Michigan beaches.

Spotters may be needed through this evening.

Moving toward the east southeast at 20 to 30 mph.
