This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph .

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms are expected to move east across Wisconsin late
tonight. There is a slight (less than 20 percent) chance that
some of these storms could clip far northern or northeast
Illinois, mainly north of Interstate 90. If storms do affect the
area late tonight, they may be capable of localized damaging wind
gusts to 60 mph.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Level 1 of 4 Flooding Risk

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Dangerously hot and humid conditions will persist Tuesday, likely
with the hottest temperatures of the year in many locations. Peak
afternoon heat indices of 105 to 115 degrees are forecast.

There is a chance (around 40 percent) of scattered thunderstorms
late Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. Some of these storms
could be severe, with damaging winds the primary threat and
isolated large hail also possible.

Spotters may be needed Tuesday evening.
