Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 65 mph.
Level 2 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Level 1 of 4 Flooding Risk.
Significant Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Another day of very hot and humid weather is expected today.
Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s are expected, with peak
heat indices of 105 to 115.

There is a chance (40-50 percent) of scattered strong to severe
thunderstorms from late afternoon into this evening. Damaging
winds are the primary threat, though isolated large hail is also
possible. Storms may also produce locally heavy rainfall with the
potential for localized flooding.
