Hot and humid conditions will persist into this evening with
heat indices expected to drop below 100 degrees after sunset.
There remains a chance (30-40 percent) of scattered strong to
severe thunderstorms this evening into tonight. Damaging winds
would be the primary threat with any storms. Storms may also
produce locally heavy rainfall.
