...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Kendall, eastern De
Kalb, Kane and McHenry Counties through 1115 PM CDT...
At 1018 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Genoa to near Sugar Grove. Movement was
north at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Aurora, Joliet, Elgin, DeKalb, Bartlett, Crystal Lake, Plainfield,
Carpentersville, St. Charles, Oswego, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills,
West Chicago, McHenry, Batavia, Woodstock, Huntley, Geneva, Sycamore
and Yorkville.
Including the following interstates...
I-80 between mile markers 120 and 122.
I-88 between mile markers 93 and 120.
I-90 between mile markers 32 and 56.
This includes... Northern Illinois University, Aurora University,
Elgin Community College, Fermilab, IL Math and Science Academy, Kane
County Cougars Ballpark, Mchenry County College, Mchenry County
Fairgrounds, Moraine Hills State Park, and Waubonsee Community
