This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated Flooding Risk...especially from I-80 and south.
DISCUSSION...
Waves of showers and thunderstorms will continue through tonight,
with coverage becoming more widespread later tonight. With some
locations from I-80 and south receiving in excess of three inches
of rain during the daytime on Thursday, any additional significant
rainfall totals will cause flooding impacts. In addition, the
strongest thunderstorms may be capable of producing gusty winds
and hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited to Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Sunday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Additional waves of showers and thunderstorms with a heavy
rainfall and flooding threat can be expected through the weekend.
In addition, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on both
Friday and Saturday. The pattern of daily thunderstorm chances
with locally heavy rainfall is forecast to continue through mid
next week.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters may be needed to report flooding through tonight.

Moving toward the east northeast at 20 to 30 mph.
