THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO NOON CST FRIDAY.

FOR THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...

* TIMING...PERIODS OF SNOW AND BLOWING WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES
THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING...THEN STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
DEVELOP BY LATE EVENING...LEADING TO SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* SNOW AMOUNTS...UP TO AN ADDITIONAL INCH THIS EVENING.

* WINDS...SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH
THROUGH EARLY EVENING...THEN BECOMING NORTHWEST 25 TO 30 MPH
WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THESE STRONG WINDS TONIGHT WILL RESULT IN CONSIDERABLE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...WHICH COULD LEAD TO NEAR WHITE OUT
CONDITIONS AT TIMES IN OPEN AREAS...MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS.

FOR THE WIND CHILL ADVISORY...

* TIMING...EARLY TO LATE FRIDAY MORNING.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...20 BELOW TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS...FROST BITE CAN OCCUR IN A MATTER OF MINUTES ON EXPOSED
SKIN. EXTENDED EXPOSURE WITHOUT PROPER CLOTHING WILL INCREASE
THE RISK OF HYPOTHERMIA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT THE WIND WILL COMBINE WITH THE
VERY COLD AIR TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
