THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA...INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING AREAS...IN ILLINOIS...BOONE...COOK...DE KALB...
DUPAGE...KANE...KENDALL...LAKE IL...MCHENRY...OGLE...WILL AND
WINNEBAGO. IN NORTHWEST INDIANA...LAKE IN AND PORTER.

* FROM 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IS LIKELY NORTH OF
A LINE FROM SUBLETTE ILLINOIS TO DUNNS BRIDGE INDIANA. THIS
INCLUDES THE ROCKFORD AND CHICAGO METRO AREAS AS WELL AS THE
SUBURBS OF THESE CITIES. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 5 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WATCH AREA. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR
VERY HIGH RAINFALL RATES IN SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS. THE
HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL OVER HIGHLY URBANIZED AREAS OF ROCKFORD AND
CHICAGO.

* RAPID FLOODING OF CREEKS...SMALL STREAMS...ROADS...VIADUCTS...AND
LOW LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE IN THUNDERSTORMS.
