...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including the following counties, in north central Illinois, Boone
and De Kalb. In northeast Illinois, Kane and McHenry.
* WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 537 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional isolated amounts up to an inch are possible before
the storms move out of the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
DeKalb, Belvidere, Sycamore, Marengo, Genoa, Elburn,
Cortland, Kirkland, Maple Park, Kingston, Lily Lake, Garden
Prairie and Virgil.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
