This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and
especially this evening south of I-80. The primary threat from
any thunderstorms will be heavy downpours and cloud to ground
lightning. There is a small chance that one or two of the storms
could become strong to severe south of the Illinois and Kankakee
Rivers in Illinois, posing a threat of locally strong winds and
some hail.

In addition, heat indices this afternoon could peak around 100
degrees, generally around and south of a line from Sterling IL to
Fowler IN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

High Swim Risk Lake Michigan beaches.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
