be ruled out. In addition, some of the storms will produce
torrential rainfall which could lead to flash flooding, especially
where several storms train across the same areas.

mainly south of Interstate 80 and near the Lake Michigan
shoreline. Additional thunderstorms may develop after dark near
and south of Interstate 80. While no severe weather is expected,
any storm may produce gusty winds, lightning strikes, and
downpours.

McHenry and Boone Counties through 1100 PM CDT...
At 1015 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Walworth to Poplar Grove to 6 miles north of
Winnebago. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Crystal Lake, Beloit, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills,
McHenry, Belvidere, Woodstock, Huntley, Loves Park, Machesney Park,
Roscoe, Fox Lake, Harvard, Island Lake, South Beloit, Rockton,
Marengo, Poplar Grove and Cary.
