DISCUSSION...
Dangerous travel conditions are expected to continue tonight due
to a combination of falling snow, strong winds, blowing snow, and
bitterly cold temperatures. Near-blizzard conditions are possible
tonight, primarily in open areas. Conditions may become
life-threatening for anyone who becomes stranded. The cold
temperatures may also lead to ice jams on area rivers, which could
cause localized flooding.

DISCUSSION:
Wind chills as low as 30 below zero and 25 below zero will occur on
Saturday morning and Sunday morning, respectively. Milder temperatures
are expected on Monday and Tuesday, but overnight wind chills may still
fall below zero on both days. The cold temperatures will prolong the
threat for ice jam-induced flooding into next week as well.
A clipper system could bring minor snow accumulations to the region
Sunday night into Monday.
